NPEIA traces its beginning back to 1994, when a group of passionate education entrepreneurs and education managers in the greater Kampala area led by Mr. Mujjumba John Bosco, the Proprietor of St John Bosco Primary school, Wankuluku, Professor Lawrence Mukiibi of St Lawrence schools and colleges,

- We train members through private schools affiliated institutes link Mubs, UMI
- We enable members benchmark best practices locally and internationally
- We link with Business and professional training institutions for tailored courses for school managers and directors like MUBS, UMI among others.

Our Milestones
“Since its establishment in 1994, NPEIA has been at the forefront of advocating for private education in Uganda. Here are some of our key achievements:”
- Partnered with the British Council to improve governance in private schools
- Represented private schools in UNEB and NCDC committees
- Influenced national policies such as the 2008 Education Act and the 2020 NCDC Bill
- Trained over 5,000 school directors on management and education entrepreneurship
- Championed the suspension of corporate tax on private schools in 2007
